Overview
We are seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our team in providing exceptional eye care services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong background in senior care.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Deliver excellent customer service and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism

· Communicate with patients to get detailed case histories

· Examine eyes of patients of all ages in accordance with the guidelines laid out by the College of Optometrists and the General Optical Council

· Use specialist equipment for diagnosis and testing

· Issue prescriptions for spectacles or contact lenses

· Fit and check prescribed lenses in order to correct vision defects

· Offer advice and reassurance about vision-related matters

· Offer help and advice for patients choosing frames and lenses

· Write referral communications to doctors as required in line with legal guidelines

· Liaise with other medical practitioners and sometimes share the care of patients with chronic ophthalmic conditions

· Meet sales targets with regard to selling spectacles & contact lenses

· Perform core administrative functions in line with GDPR best practice

Education & Experience

CET statutory requirement completed

You must be a qualified Optometrist with a degree in Optometry and be a member of the General Optical Council

Be able to demonstrate industry knowledge and experience of providing excellent care and service

Previous experience in retail or customer service

The ideal candidate will be a clinically minded individual with good time management skills and excellent attention to detail. This role would suit a strong team player with a proven track record who is able to confidently offer advice to their peers and share your clinical expertise with the teams you work with.

Pay starting from £65,000 Per Annum (Based on Experience) with an additional performance bonus & employee benefits.
