Position: Optometrist
Location: Ayr, Ayrshire
Salary: Up to £48,000 depending on experience plus bonus scheme
Working hours: Full or part-time working patterns considered. No late nights
Experience level: You must be a GOC registered Optometrist
A brand-new opportunity has arisen for a qualified optometrist at the Specsavers Ayr store. Due to ongoing success, the store is keen expand its team of exceptional optometrists in order to offer the best possible service to its loyal customer base. Established in 1995, Specsavers Ayr has grown from strength to strength and now employs 37 staff and operates out of 7 tests rooms, across 2 floors. The store has come a long way since the 1990s and not only does it look fresh and modern, it also boasts the latest in technology such as OCT.

Our Ayr practice prides itself on providing excellent clinical care, working with local authorities to provide diabetic retinopathy screening as well as cataract post op and LVA assessment services. This practice sees a lot of different pathology, making it the perfect place to expand your clinical knowledge.
The practice currently has three Optometrists that can independently prescribe and are always happy to nurture and provide support for those that are eager to become IP accredited. Ayr itself is renowned for its beautiful coastline and beaches as well as its racecourse, golf courses and breath-taking countryside. All of which is only a 40-minute drive from Glasgow.
