JOB DESCRIPTION


This is a full-time on-site role for a Refractive Optometrist at EuroEyes LEC London in Knightsbridge, London. The Refractive Optometrist will be responsible for conducting eye exams, diagnosing vision problems, prescribing corrective lenses, and providing pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing refractive surgeries.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS


This job requires:



  • The ability to deal with high stress environments in pro-active manner

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Optometrist degree with a valid GOC registration

  • Previous experience in refractive surgery – minimum 2 years

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • A self-starter, capable of working within a team with minimal supervision

  • Clerical and administrative experience using computers

  • Working Knowledge of a simple database application, word, excel, email and Internet

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Experience in conducting comprehensive eye exams and diagnosing vision problems

  • Knowledge of pre- and post-operative care for refractive surgeries


DUTIES – DAILY



  • Full pre-operative consultation for suitability for laser surgery, cataract, RLEs and ICL’s.

  • Post-operative consultations

  • Diagnostic scanning and training other members of staff

  • Analysis of data and clinical diagnostics beyond the consultation

  • Report writing

  • Patients queries

  • Continuous training in refractive eye surgery, and core ophthalmic skills

  • Take part in presentations

  • Complex patients case management

  • Co-management of patients with their surgeons, and other optometrists and nurses.


REPORTING AND LOCATION


Reporting: You will report to the Clinic Manager.


Location: 163-169 Brompton Road SW3 1PY


WORKING HOURS


40 hours a week between the hours 08:00-20:00, Monday - Saturday

Salary: £60,000-£70,000 pa depending on experience
