Spire Regency, Macclesfield are now recruiting an Optometrist to join their team on a bank basis

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To undertake administrative duties as required by the role undertaken.
  • To work as an autonomous practitioner to assess, diagnose and manage any patient referred
  • The post-holder is required to perform refraction, low vision aid assessment.
  • The post-holder will also be required to work as part of the multi-disciplinary team in one or more of the sub-specialised glaucoma, cataract, medical retina, undertaking "extended role" optometry work (dependent on experience).

Who we're looking for

  • Possession of a Bachelor of Science in Optometry BSc (Optometry)
  • Current Registration with the General Optical Council (GOC)
  • Ability to organise and manage own workload
  • Experience in working in extended optometry roles and shared-care clinics
