Our patients genuinely value the time our Optometrists are able to spend with them. There is no pressure to rush, cut corners, or compromise clinical judgement.
As an independent practice, we offer true clinical freedom — supported by the time, technology, and autonomy you need to solve problems properly and make a real difference to people’s lives.
Our patients return to us year after year, giving you the opportunity to build long-term relationships and continuity of care, not just transactional appointments.
We firmly believe that when we look after our patients and our team, the commercial success naturally follows. There are no unrealistic sales targets — we’re simply looking for clinicians who care deeply about their profession, their patients, and their colleagues.

At Eyesite, our purpose is simple but powerful:
“To delight our patients and customers by designing innovative solutions to their eyecare needs, in an environment of enthusiasm, professionalism, and clinical excellence.”
As Clinical Lead Optometrist, your role is to:
Play a meaningful, visible, and influential part in delivering this purpose — every patient, every day.
This is a role for an optometrist who wants clinical autonomy, leadership influence, and the time to practise properly.
You’ll deliver first-class eye examinations, contact lens care, and advanced eyecare services — but more importantly, you’ll:
Treat every patient as an individual, not an appointment slot
Listen, empathise, and truly understand their needs and lifestyle
Deliver the best possible eyecare for the person in front of you — every time
Build long-term relationships and continuity of care
At Eyesite, we believe everyone deserves the best.
You’ll practise in an environment where clinical quality is protected and celebrated:
Conduct thorough, unhurried eye examinations with enthusiasm and care
Clearly explain each stage of the examination so patients feel informed and confident
Explore and discuss all appropriate vision correction and eye health options
Agree and manage the next steps of the patient journey — and ensure they happen
Set accurate recall types and timings collaboratively with patients
Personally hand over patients to the next stage of their journey wherever possible
Manage referrals and follow-ups promptly and professionally
This is true patient-centred care, supported by systems that work.
You’ll champion our contact lens service by:
Introducing all suitable patients to the benefits of contact lenses
Delivering high-quality fittings and aftercare
Supporting colleagues involved in A&R and teaching, ensuring training and consistency
Encouraging excellent sunglass and eye protection solutions
You’ll have the opportunity to get involved in, lead, or develop services such as:
Dry Eye Management
Colourimetry
Specialist & Advanced Contact Lenses
Ortho-K
Clinical Trials
Laser Surgery Referral & Aftercare
Community & Enhanced Eyecare Services
Supervision of pre-registration Optometrists and Contact Lens Opticians
This role grows with you.
As Clinical Lead, you’ll work closely with the Practice Manager to:
Ensure clinical support teams are well trained and confident
Drive a culture of customer delight and professionalism
Support efficient practice administration and governance
You’ll be a clinical role model and mentor, responsible for:
Keeping the clinical team aligned, supported, and up to date
Delivering regular clinical one-to-ones
Sharing best practice with Clinical Leads across the Eyesite group
Supporting recruitment and development of future talent
Beyond Brighton, you’ll:
Contribute to group-wide clinical discussions
Share ideas that improve care across all practices
Help shape the future of independent optometry within Eyesite
We invest in you as much as you invest in your patients:
Structured appraisals and regular one-to-ones
Ongoing clinical and leadership development
Support with CPD, professional growth, and people skills
A culture that values curiosity, learning, and progression
You’ll maintain registration with the GOC, AOP, and relevant bodies — we’ll support the rest.
You’ll treat patients, colleagues, and partners with the enthusiasm, respect, and warmth you’d show to your closest friends and family. That’s simply how we work.
