As an Optometrist at K France Opticians, Carlisle, you’ll provide expert eye examinations , clinical advice and fit a wide range of contact lenses, and deliver ongoing eye care that ensures patients feel confident, comfortable, and genuinely cared for.
This role is ideal for someone who values the clinical side of optometry, enjoys building trust with patients from a wide range of backgrounds, and thrives within a supportive, collaborative team. You’ll have the time, tools, and professional autonomy to work to a high clinical standard, without feeling rushed or restricted. Teamwork sits at the heart of the practice, and you’ll work closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth patient journey and a positive workplace culture.
You’ll be working in a well-equipped, modern practice with a strong emphasis on clinical excellence. The practice benefits from 30-minute appointment times, allowing you to carry out thorough examinations and provide personalised care. You’ll have access to OCT, auto-phoropter, Nidek LCD charts, Corneal Topographer and Humphrey’s Visual Field analyser, with pre-testing completed to support efficient patient flow.
The practice has two fully equipped consulting rooms and serves a diverse patient base. You’ll be supported by an experienced team of four, creating a collaborative and well-structured working environment.
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and deliver tailored clinical advice
Fit and manage a wide range of contact lenses
Provide ongoing patient care in line with GOC guidelines and company policies
Support the wider team by resolving clinical and technical queries
Liaise with external healthcare professionals when required
Maintain clinical equipment and contribute to continuous improvement within the practice
We are looking for a full-time Optometrist who will play a key role in the ongoing success of the practice and in delivering outstanding patient care.
