An independent opticians in Southfields, London are seeking a motivated and clinically skilled Optometrist to join a dedicated team. The successful candidate will be based primarily at the Southfields practice but should be willing to provide cover across other branches within our group when required.

– Location: Southfields, London (with occasional cover for other locations within the group) – Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 5:30 (Saturday work is mandatory) – Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum (depending on experience) – Experience Required: Newly qualified up to 3 years – 40-minute testing times – Equipment: Phoropter and OCT
– Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including pre-screening when necessary, with 40-minute testing times.
– Utilise OCT as a standard part of the examination process.
– Perform examinations using a phoropter and maintain accurate computer-based records.
– Assist with front-of-house duties during busy periods, ensuring a seamless patient experience.
– Maintain a balance between clinical excellence and commercial awareness, contributing to the success of the practice.
– Participate in the bonus scheme, where 10% of second-pair sales are shared monthly with front-of-house staff based on clinic participation.
– Must be GOC registered and up to date with CET points
– Newly qualified Optometrists up to a maximum of 3 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
– Strong clinical skills paired with an understanding of the commercial aspects of optometry.
– Comfortable using a phoropter and managing computer-based patient records.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional approach to patient care.
– Flexibility to cover other locations within the group as needed.
– Competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £55,000 per annum, adjusted based on experience.
– 33 days of annual leave, including bank holidays.
– Bonus scheme: 10% of second-pair sales shared with front-of-house staff.
